I think may people don't see maxi dresses are sexy, after all the mini skirt is supposed to be the ultimate sexy dress, but maxi dresses are a burgeoning trend and designers are creating all new ways to people to look at these dresses. Floor or ankle length dresses go in out of style so frequently it's really hard to keep up, however is you truly love a style, it doesn't really matter, you'll ear it anyway. As women, we love fashion, but we aren't slaves to it, at least most of us are not.
The term maxi dress does sound old-fashioned. There are plenty of young, hot looking celebrities sporting the trend, and they look fabulous. Why are maxi dresses coming back in style? We all love vintage trends, the romantic look that makes us feel like we just stepped out of a Victorian novel. Maxi dresses are reminiscent of the past, when we imagine that times were less volatile and tense. Who wouldn't dream of running through a field of flowers to meet a lover in a flowing floral long dress that's gently blowing in the breeze.
While few of us are actually running through fields, we still like the look and the daydream. It makes trudging to the tube just a little better imaging a field of flowers instead of a field of pressing commuters.
