One of the perils of aging is that older people just can’t pull off the same clothing styles they did when they were able to wear when they were in their twenties. Even if our bodies our still in great shape, an old guy running around in a Smurfs t-shirt just looks silly.
So where’s the middle ground? Older guys can’t just wear dockers and golf shirts all the time, so they’ve got to wear something casual. That’s where a little discretion comes into play. Grownups don’t have to be stuffy at every occasion, but that doesn’t mean a grown man can’t sport something fun like a Robot Evolution shirt every once in a while.
In fact, there’s no shortage of age appropriate shirts for middle aged guy. One of the best places for these men to start looking for casual shirts is in their own compact disc collection. Pearl Jam and Smashing Pumpkins shirts are exactly the kind of t shirt that a forty year old man should be wearing.
Let’s face it, after you hit a certain age, some articles of clothing just look silly on you. That doesn’t mean you have to throw in the towel and fess like your won dad. It just means that you have to think a little harder about what you’re wearing.
